Relief funds go directly to the field in Haiti.

The dust from collapsed buildings is finally starting to settle in the early morning hours, but the earthquake's greatest damage is just beginning. Mothers are searching for their children, children are crying for their parents. And chaos is everywhere.

The Lord is guiding our hand and we are praying for wisdom and strength to respond in the most effective way possible.

The BHM hospital at our headquarters in Fermathe is overflowing with earthquake victims. We are the only hospital serving the surrounding rural mountain villages. Since hospitals have collapsed or suffered major damage, many people are traveling from around the capital to receive help. In the video, you can see the early hours at the Fermathe hospital following the earthquake.

While we are still working to contact all of our rural ministry partners and the local churches scattered throughout the country, we can tell from the damage we see that almost no one will escape untouched by the earthquakes. The amount of emergency relief needed will be unprecedented in Haiti's history.

We need your help. You can donate online today and rush your aid directly to Haiti's earthquake victims. BHM sends the relief funds directly to the field, so you'll maximize your impact in this time of crisis.

As of early this morning, Haiti has suffered more than 30 aftershocks following the major 7.0 earthquake that struck yesterday afternoon around 5 pm.

Many of the aftershocks have registered at over 5.0, with one hitting 5.9, which is in and of itself a strong earthquake.

Buildings continue to suffer structural damage and those which haven't collapsed already are in great danger of collapsing.

Please join us in fervent prayer for Haiti, the missionaries on the field, and our ministry partners who are themselves suffering loss while trying to reach out and serve their neighbors.
