Update on Damaged Schools and Churches |
|
|
|
Most of our patner churches and sponsored schools are scattered throughout rural Haiti, making it a difficult and slow process to receive news of them. But we have begun to hear from a few of our ministry partners and we ask that you lift them up in prayer.
- Please continue to pray for those who are missing. Several of our pastors have children in Port-au-Prince and they still have not heard from them. At least one of our pastors was possibly in the capital at the time of the earthquake, and we have not been able to contact them.
- We have received word that the church at Zolyen and the school at Grand Source have been completely destroyed.
- Our church in Pettionville is damaged badly and will probably have to be torn down and rebuilt.
- The high school next to mission headquarters had its auditorium badly damaged. The auditorium is also used as a classroom and will likely have to be rebuilt completely.
- The conference center at our headquarters was completely destroyed. The center is often full of people, and we give thanks that it was empty at the time of the earthquake!
You can help rebuild these life-changing ministries by being a part of our relief efforts through prayer and financial giving. Thank you for your faithful support!
