In order to provide medical care, there is a full service hospital on the mission grounds. The 100-bed hospital is staffed entirely by Haitian doctors and nurses. It collaborates closely with the government’s Department of Health and provides reliable and affordable care to a large economically deprived population. The people know that this facility is for them. Hundreds of patients come or are brought each week for treatment.    |  The hospital includes: -  A Children’s and Maternity Ward, 2 Surgery Suites, Internal Medicine Clinic
- Emergency First Aid Station, Laboratory, X-Ray, Pharmacy
- Outpatient Clinic, AIDS treatment and counseling
- An isolation facility to accommodate Tuberculosis patients
- Several satellite clinics throughout the country

Certain days are set aside for: Orthopedics, Dental Clinic, Eye Clinic, Well-baby clinics, Vaccinations. On the occasions of Well-baby clinics, dozens of mothers bring their babies to be weighed and measured. This is a special program that teaches them how to feed and care for their children properly. Vaccinations for children are a high priority. | Â

The mission has also developed a broad community health program led by a public health doctor. A large staff of health agents executes this comprehensive program. The program also includes an annual refresher course for mid-wives and mid-men. The community health agents travel in mobile teams to isolated mountain areas where no doctors or clinics exist. Some of these communities can be reached only by foot. Most of the community health agents have come out of mountain communities themselves. They now use their skills by serving the people in the isolated areas. The extensive health training and teaching program focuses on diet and nutrition, pre- and post-natal childcare, preventative medicine, proper sanitation, first aid and disease recognition. Future programs include a new clinic building that is currently under construction which includes an AIDS counseling department.
