From Lamentations to Great Rejoicing In Haiti PDF Imprimer E-mail

"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:21-23, NIV).

These words were written at a time when Jerusalem had been destroyed. The people of Israel had lost everything. And still, they looked to the heavens and proclaimed, "Great is your faithfulness."

As dust and broken concrete still surround the earthquake survivors and countless aftershocks still rattle their hearts, Pastor Solect, BHM Education Supervisor, shared these words of hope at today's church service in Fermathe.

"Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men" (Lamentations 3: 32-33, NIV).

The Lord's mercies are new every morning. He has shown Himself able and willing to provide again and again since Haiti's heartbreaking earthquake. Water, food, medicines, doctors, transportation. These are the earthly names for the compassions Christ has shown again and again.

God has not abandoned Haiti, Pastor Solect shared. Indeed, He has not! God is always good. God is always faithful. And His miracles are just beginning.
