- 1943 – Mission founded by John R. Turnbull, Fermathe property purchased.
- 1946 – Mr & Mrs John R. Turnbull and Wallace arrive in Haiti.
- 1947 – Mrs. Turnbull starts first-aid work. Mrs Bertha Holdeman arrives in Haiti. First church established in Fermathe.
- 1948 – Wallace and Eleanor were married. First school associated with BHM was established in Fermathe
- 1949 – First church associated with BHM was established in Baie de Henne
- 1951 - Electricity reached Fermathe
- 1952 – Wallace took over direction of BHM
- 1960 – Eleanor Turnbull completed the first Creole Concordance
- 1965 – Wallace introduced rock wall terracing to help prevent soil erosion
- 1972 – Mountain Maid Crafts Outlet and Tea Room was completed
- 1981 - The first high-school associated with BHM was established at Fermathe
- 1982 – Telephone service reached Fermathe
- 2003 – Pastor Rob & Patti Baker came to Haiti to assume the role of Field Director
- 2004 – Wallace & Eleanor relocated to Virginia
- 2010 – Tragic earthquake killed over 315,000 people
