ENGAGE, SERVE, DISCOVER

Romans 10:14-15 (NIV)

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?  And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, ‘”How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”

Scripture commands us to go to the nations and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).  This is not a suggestion but rather a pattern for life.  Several of our full-time missionaries serving with Baptist Haiti Mission have been part of short-term mission trips over the years.

The Lord used these short-term experiences to prepare their hearts for a life overseas. It is for this reason the missionaries of BHM desire to provide the opportunity for others to come and learn alongside them in Haiti.  BHM has three primary goals for long-term and short-term volunteers:

1.   Engage

  • Engage with the people, customs, and culture of Haiti. As you are exposed to daily life in Haiti engage the practices, tastes, sights, and sounds it has to offer!

2.  Serve

  • Serve the church, the family, and the schools of Haiti.  These three areas make up the very foundation of the country.  Help us strengthen this foundation by aiding these areas in a variety of ways.

3.  Discover

  • Discover the Lord’s personal call on your life to be involved with international missions.  See the impact BHM has on the daily life of Haiti and how you can be involved.
